It looks a little ridiculous. It's also the first thing that's let me actually sleep in economy.

I've flown home across the Pacific more times than I can count. 16 hours, economy, middle seat if I'm unlucky. And for years, every one of those flights ended the same way: I'd land stiff, exhausted and cranky, with my whole family waiting at arrivals.
I tried everything. Memory foam neck pillows. Inflatable ones. A rolled-up hoodie. None of them stopped the thing that kept waking me up: my head dropping forward the second I dozed off. Then on a red-eye last spring, I watched the woman across the aisle sleep, completely still, for six straight hours. She was wearing something called Hushwing.
I ordered one the day I landed. On my next long flight, I slept through two meal services. I didn't wake up with my chin on my chest. For the first time in years, I walked off the plane feeling like a person.
I'm not writing this because anyone asked me to. I'm writing it because I wish someone had told me about it ten flights ago. Here's why it works, and why so many travelers are making the switch.
Note: I was skeptical. It straps to the seat, there's a sling for your arms, and yes, the first time I put it on I felt a little silly. Stick with me. The "weird" part is exactly why it works.
Most of us assume we can't sleep on planes because our neck needs more support. So we buy a bigger, squishier neck pillow.
But watch what actually happens when you drift off sitting upright: your shoulders relax and roll forward, your upper body slumps, and your head follows. It drops, you jolt awake, and the cycle repeats all night.
A neck pillow can't stop that chain reaction, because it only touches your neck. Hushwing was designed around the whole chain: it holds your head, your eyes and your upper body at the same time.
The difference: a neck pillow gives you 1 point of support. Hushwing gives you 3: head, eyes and upper body.
Every "solution" I tried fixed one small piece of the problem. The neck pillow cushioned my neck but my head still dropped. The airline blanket kept me warm but slid off. The eye mask blocked light but did nothing for the head-bob.
Hushwing combines all three jobs into one system that actually connects to your seat. That's the key: everything is anchored, so nothing shifts when you fall asleep.
| Feature | Hushwing | Neck pillow | Blanket + mask |

Here's the funny part about looking a little different on a plane: people notice. On my last flight, the passenger beside me spent the first hour giving me side-eye and the last hour asking where to buy one.
That's how most travelers find Hushwing: they see someone actually sleeping in economy and want to know the secret.
Social proof stat: 5783 travelers got their home from an international trip and was very pleased with these. The sling was comfortable and helped them rest my arms/shoulders. (Latest survey in Oct 2026)

Strap on the HaloHold™. Wrap it around the seat headrest and click the buckle.
Slip into the Cradle Sling™. Drape it over your shoulders and rest your arms inside.
Lock the Blackout Mask. Earbuds in first, then press the mask onto the HaloHold.
That's it. No inflating, no adjusting every twenty minutes, no wrestling with straps in the dark.
Setup time: about a minute, and easier every time after the first.
Planes are never truly dark. Someone's reading lamp is on. A dozen screens glow. Someone opens a window shade at sunrise.
Regular eye masks slide up or down the moment you shift in your seat. Hushwing's Blackout Mask locks onto the HaloHold, so it stays exactly where it should, and doubles as the thing that gently holds your head back against the seat.
2 jobs, 1 piece: the mask blocks light and keeps your head from dropping forward.
Bulky neck pillows are the worst part of packing: too big for your bag, awkward to clip on, and always the thing you leave behind at the gate.
Hushwing rolls down into one small drawstring pouch that slides in next to your laptop or clips to your carry-on. No batteries, no liquids, nothing to inflate.
Packing tip: keep it in your personal item so it's in reach before takeoff.
I bought it for flights. I've since used it on an overnight train and as a passenger on a 9-hour drive to the coast.
If the seat has a headrest you can strap around, Hushwing works. One honest caveat: seats without a headrest, like some benches and older bus seats, won't hold the HaloHold.
Rule of thumb: if your seat has a headrest, you can sleep in it.
Cheap travel gear feels fine for the first hour, then turns scratchy, hot and sticky somewhere over the ocean.
Hushwing is made from soft, breathable fabric that drapes like a light blanket over your shoulders, so the sling feels cozy rather than restrictive. The headrest cushion is padded where your head actually rests.
A long-haul business-class upgrade can cost thousands of dollars each way. Even a premium economy upgrade adds hundreds.
I'm not going to pretend Hushwing turns your seat into a lie-flat bed. But it fixes the one thing that makes economy sleep miserable: your head refusing to stay still. For the price of a nice dinner at the airport, you get to keep your seat and still sleep.
Use it on every trip: the more you fly, the less it costs per night of sleep.
The only way to know if something helps you sleep on a plane is to sleep on a plane. So Hushwing gives you 60 nights: take it on your next trip, your next road trip, and the one after that.
If it doesn't help you rest, contact the team and get your money back. No awkward questions.
Try it on your next flight: the 60-night trial covers a full round trip and then some.

I saw this product on social media and figured I would give it a try with a lot of travel coming up. All I can say is this definitely helps with sleeping on the flight. It does look like a spectacle putting this together but you’ll be glad you did. It keeps you head in place, shuts the eyes and keeps the arms tucked in. If you’re claustrophobic this is NOT for you! I woke up one time and snatched it off before orienting myself. After that I was comfortable using it. I was able to get way more sleep on my flights even in the economy seats. Great product. Also, kudos to whoever did the case design with a locking carabiner. You will definitely not lose this setup easily.
Recently used it for two 13 hr flights and so happy I found this product. So much better than any neck pillow I have tried. This actually supported my head. Mask is nice and soft with the padding. For now my search has ended for the best travel solution for better sleep on long flight. The sling is a nice touch. At first I thought it would be a little too snug for this medium to large gal but I was able to manuever it over my body just fine, material allows for stretch, I just hope it retains shape after repeated use. Maybe harder to use for people with impaired mobility but for me it worked great. Highly recommend.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐People may laugh at you but it’s totally worth it. Works way better than I expected. Easy to set up. I’ve never used any more comfortable eye mask in my life. And it really packs down really small
